Catherine Watson Genna

BS, IBCLC
Catherine Watson Genna, IBCLC, a leading lactation consultant in NYC, educates global healthcare professionals on assisting breastfeeding babies with anatomical challenges. Her research collaborations with Columbia and Tel Aviv Universities explore infant sucking, swallowing, and nipple bio-mechanics. Catherine, an accomplished author and founding associate editor of 'Clinical Lactation,' contributes her expertise into presentations and publications worldwide.

Dr. Shawna Lamond

MD, CCFP, IBCLC
Dr. Lamond, Clinical Director at Riley Park Lactation and Well Fed Clinic, specializes in infant feeding, lactation, and postpartum mental health. As a board member of NABBLM, she works on North American Board Certification in Breastfeeding and Lactation Medicine. A clinical lecturer at the University of Calgary, Dr. Lamond collaborates with Alberta Health Services to develop breastfeeding education, demonstrating her commitment to maternal and infant well-being.

Kathleen Kendall-Tackett

PhD, IBCLC, FAPA
Dr. Kendall-Tackett is a health psychologist and an IBCLC. She is the owner and Editor-in-Chief of Praeclarus Press and also Editor of two peer reviewed journals. She is Fellow of the American Psychological Association in Health and Trauma Psychology. Dr Kendall-Tackett specializes in women's health research, including breastfeeding, depression, trauma and health psychology. She has authored more than 460 articles and is author or editor of 38 books.

Dr. Kamran Yusuf

Dr. Kamran Yusuf at the University of Calgary excels in Premature Infant Care, High Blood Pressure in Infants, Preeclampsia, and Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia. His expertise and dedication advance neonatal health, making him a valuable asset in providing top-notch care and driving medical research.

Kathy O'Grady Venter

RN, IBCLC
Kathy O'Grady Venter, RN, retired midwife, and IBCLC, works at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, Toronto. Trained by WHO/UNICEF, she's a two-time awardee for Clinical Excellence from the Canadian Lactation Consultant Association and served as Chair of the Breastfeeding Committee for Canada.

Linda Smith

MPH, IBCLC, FACCE, FILCA
Linda Smith, a prominent lactation consultant with 35+ years of experience, serves as ILCA's liaison to WHO's Baby Friendly Hospital Initiative. She holds a Masters in Public Health, co-founded IBLE, and authored Sweet Sleep: Nighttime and Naptime. A dedicated advocate, Linda has played key roles in promoting breastfeeding globally.

Dr. Louise Dumas

RN, MSC, PHD
Dr. Dumas, an honorary professor at Université du Québec en Outaouais, holds degrees from the University of Alabama and Université du Québec. Specializing in perinatal practices, breastfeeding, and patient education, she's a lead assessor for WHO/UNICEF Baby Friendly Initiative and represents Canada at WHO for BFHI implementation in industrialized countries.

Dr. Jack Newman

MD
Dr. Newman graduated from the University of Toronto Medical School in 1970. He has worked as a physician in Central America, South Africa and New Zealand. Dr. Newman founded Canada's first hospital breastfeeding clinic in 1984. He currently works at the Newman Breastfeeding Clinic and Institute. He has authored several publications including "Dr. Jack Newman's Guide to Breastfeeding" and is a sought after international speaker.
